Alaska Fishing Trip!

12/13/11 - Brenda and Harry, Dave and I want to thank you for this past weekend, we had an excellent time. The fishing was great the food was great and we will be back in the middle of Jan. Tell Kevin and Nancy (aka Karen thank you too). I attached a few pictures. See you in a few weeks. Jeff

11/13/11 - Thank you so much for the awesome trip. Harry and the guys are FIRST CLASS anglers and Me and my Dad well never forget this trip. I got my Monster Brown He got his Rare salmon. Next year were coming up to fish at your place for steelhead. First impression means a lot to me and you guys hit a Freaking home run. Thanks again..... Chad

5/09/11 - Hello Brenda, Just a short note to thank you for another very memorable stay at Salmon Heaven Lodge. The only regret we have is that our stay was to short. Nevertheless, we loved every minute. The Lodge is spectacular, the rooms are terrific, the guests are exceptional and you and the staff are just awesome. But, having said that, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the absolutely incredible prime rib diner. We can't wait for our next trip.I told several friends of mine about the Lodge and how great it is and I/we will be putting another trip together. Hopefully we will be staying longer than just a few days.

Well, thanks again for everything. Bethany, Billy and I truly appreciate everything you do at Salmon Heaven Lodge, especially how welcome you make us feel. Take care and we hope to see you again soon. Wishing you the very best, Dave, Bethany and Bill

4/25/11 - Harry, Brenda, Kevin, and Nancy~
Paulene and I had such a WONDERFUL time Sunday! It was like a Christmas day that we didn't want to end. Kevin did such a great job teaching us why the fish were biting the way they were and was so very helpful in giving tips during the day. He taught me how to see the fish with the polarized glasses and what to look for regarding the way the underwater landscape was laid out in the Schoolhouse area. I learned much! Thanks, Nancy for the pre-fishing breakfast sandwiches and after-fishing food we enjoyed! Also, many THANKS for burning that CD of our fishing pics! We appreciate your efforts! Brenda, you are always a welcome sight. So welcoming and enjoyable to be around. It's like having a sis from another mother! Harry, sorry I didn't get to chat with you that day. Have no fear...we will be back! You folks ROCK! I feel that you all are now a part of my extended family. I enjoy the company of you all and the joy I get in getting to know you all better. (Even though I might be a bit shy sometimes.) You run a good business. Thanks for what you do bringing joy to others. I appreciate it. Best wishes and God Bless! 4/23/11- Harry, Thanks we had a great time fishing with you guys and Brenda is great we really felt at home. Anyone looking to charter I highly recomend Salmon Heaven. I think the kids still have a smile on there faces. Catching our limit of fish was nice, but meeting all the great people at Salmon Heaven is what really made it a memorable trip. - Chad

4/4/11 - Brenda- Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed my recent stay with you. It was a real pleasure to meet you and Harry. I hope you both take a lot of pride in your operation because it is well deserved. I'd appreciate it if Harry can drop me a line with his open dates for the next couple of weeks or so. If circumstances permit I'm going to try and get back up soon.

10/30/10 - comments: Had a great time as usual fishing and staying with Brenda, and Harry. The food was great and the rooms extremely comfortable, clean and warm. Harry is a wonderful guide, catching fish is not as important as the experience, learning the fish behavior and still coming home with a dinner or two or three. Looking forward to my 3rd experience staying with them. Gee while arising at 4AM maybe a tough experience, it is well worth enjoying the adventure while making new friends.

Harry,
My Dad and I are coming up the second weekend in Oct. for Salmon. I'm sure I will be up a few times before that based on what the fishing is like. After fishing for steelhead last year my Dad and I are going to do a trip again in April for sure. I'd really like to come up and fish with you in the snow sometime this winter. And last I'd also like to bring my wife on a float trip. Let me know what season you would recommend for that, she knows nothing. I'm sure you and I will be fishing together for a long time! My Dad and I were very impressed with your guide services and the lodge. By far the best place I have stayed in the salmon river area.

And now your gonna have the best shirts in the area to promote yourself with, watch out!

Thanks for a great time! I was in Alexander Bal’s party that stayed Friday and Saturday night. Everyone at home was very impressed with our catch and our stories. I was wondering if you could email a picture of each of the fish we caught for my website.

Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for the great day on AND off the water yesterday. Alex and I really enjoyed ourselves and hope you did too. You guys are the best! And Harry, just for the record, we didn't go 0 for 10 as you said in the report, I did catch one and have the picture to prove it. The cake and singing was great too! See you soon and go Yanks!

Alex and Nelson I meant that we had ten hook ups at our last stop and of course I remembered you landing that beautiful fish that you directed right into the net! I had a great day as always and look forward to our next fishing trip. There is only one thing I can't agree with you on and you know what that is! Let's together and watch the Rays and whoever they are playing in the series this year! - Harry

We talked about the day all the way home as Patrick did his homework.

Not much feels better then a warm bed as the alarm goes off for the second time at 4:45 AM. We kept asking each other, "what is the rush, it's dark outside"? But, once we were in the boat going down a dark river, guided by headlamps did we realize that other anglers were getting into position for an epic day. All feelings of fatigue were replaced with excitement as the morning unfolded. It is impossible to put into words the adventure, beauty and satisfaction of seeing my son enjoy nature. I was immediately confident in all aspects of the boat, and your expertise as the river guide. Even beyond that, was the gentle management of an eager boy by a special teacher on a streamside class room. I am very grateful that "we" could fight some fish together, and not care about the ones that got away. The biggest fish I caught that day, is the kid in the red jacket.
Thanks for the great day on the water, we will remember it forever!
